Breast Implants

Breast augmentation with implants is designed to enhance breast volume, shape, and overall balance for patients seeking a fuller or more proportionate appearance. Whether the goal is to restore volume lost after pregnancy or weight loss, improve symmetry, or create more upper pole fullness, implants can provide beautiful, long-lasting enhancement tailored to each patient’s anatomy and aesthetic goals.

Types of implants

Breast implants are available in both saline and silicone options, each with its own advantages depending on a patient’s anatomy and goals. Saline implants are filled with sterile salt water and can allow for smaller incisions and adjustable filling, while silicone implants are filled with a cohesive silicone gel that often feels more similar to natural breast tissue.

Above or Below the Muscle?

Breast implants can be placed either above the pectoralis muscle or below it, depending on a patient’s anatomy, existing breast tissue, lifestyle, and aesthetic goals. Placement above the muscle may offer a more straightforward recovery in the right patient, while placement below the muscle can provide additional soft tissue coverage and a more gradual upper breast slope for some individuals.
